Amsterdam, May 10, 2011 – TOBAM announced today that Stichting Alcatel-Lucent Pensioenfonds has selected TOBAM’s Anti-Benchmark World Equity Fund for a first 25 million euro investment.
“We went for the Anti-Benchmark approach to achieve a better diversification in the world equity portfolio. We also very much appreciated the quality of the thorough dialogue we had with TOBAM along the due diligence process” says Cor Zeeman, Director of the Stichting Alcatel-Lucent Pension Fund.
Morella Hessels, TOBAM’s business development for Benelux comments: “We are particularly proud to welcome Stichting Alcatel-Lucent Pensioenfonds to our investor base. We feel this investment illustrates the natural fit of Anti-Benchmark strategies with Dutch pension funds”. The Netherlands is a key market for TOBAM, which now manages assets in excess of USD 600 million for Dutch investors. “An excellent way to celebrate the 1st anniversary of our Amsterdam’s office!” adds Yves Choueifaty, President of TOBAM.
This new allocation builds on TOBAM’s strong business performance year to date in 2011, with assets under management rising by more than 30% since December 2010, to near USD 2 bio at the end of April 2011.
